Pollisum identified Workplace Health and Safety as a critical business priority and planned for investments to improve the safety of our work environment since 2015. This included integrating middle and senior management into Pollisum’s Workplace Safety and Health Team, developing a strategy around health and safety based on formal risk assessment, establishing goals and objectives for improvements and reporting monthly progress to the operating board.
With smart solutions, we safely and professionally move deadlines forward, improve uptime and reduce cost of ownerships. It is the challenge of pushing boundaries, creating new possibilities, and accomplishing the exceptional that make us a stronger committed team, valuing the safety of our staffs, clients and community.
We will continue to improve our health & safety standards, promulgate tool-kits at the local level to empower local ownership and enable local success, develop our safety professionals through better training, and leverage IT solutions to better manage our health and safety program. With further enhancement, we are looking to develop and implement mobile and online safety applications to report and manage near misses and safety incidents, develop and roll out a safety manual to all operating locations.
Activities for WSH Staff
Encourage staff to exercise regularly through sport games and establish healthy eating habits under Workplace Health Enhancement programme. The lists of activities are:

All staffs are scheduled to attend work-related courses to better equip them with the knowledge, skills and inculcate a positive mindset.

– Signalman, Rigger & Lifting Supervisor skill

Pollisum creates a policy to determine risk acceptability criteria and Identify potential hazards with regards to the product. By estimating the risk for each hazard and compare the estimated risk to the acceptability criteria known as risk assessment.
We Implement risk control to reduce the risk below the acceptable criteria and communicate the risks internally and externally.
